Thanks to some hacker guy who uploaded a email script and caused my hosting company to shut down my site no less than two times the upload/download has been disabled. Do I know who this loser hacker is? You bet!
IP: 195.93.102.6
ISP: cache-prs-aa06.proxy.aol.com AKA: (AOL dial-up internet)
Location: France
Thats cool you say…but you can’t do anything can you? Well…I know where he lives…

But thats kind of broad…can you zoom in more?

Still not very specific…

Ok, Ok getting better….

Wow ok…

Ok I have to admit thats pretty close…but can you get a satellite view of where he lives?

So, It looks like he lives in the middle of a forest, in France, using dial-up AOL internet to try and hack my site. Pretty sad indeed!

After someone said in effect my site was dry looking (without naming anyone…cough, cough…lukas) I decided that he was right. So with a little help I changed the design to what you see. I think I looks 93.4% better (yes, you heard me…93.4%) than it did before. But what do you think? You can see the old design HERE to compare. The code looks a whole lot messier…but how many of us look at that? And if you do…why??!
Also you can comment on the pictures now. So you can tell me how good they look…(or that I should stop taking pictures because they look horrible) But if you say that…don’t be surprised if your comment disappears :-). Also, check out the new Music section. Now because I believe no post should go without pictures here are some random totally unconnected pictures of a really cute “Firefox”

And here is one that someone uploaded of an awesome Firefox crop circle:

Is there any reason to buy Vista? Not anymore. What if you could have the looks of Vista, while still having the reliability, and stability of XP? Take a look at this pitcture:

(Click for full version)
So, if it looks like vista, it is Vista right? Wrong. My computer is still very much Windows XP. Take a look:

So how did I do it? It’s called a “Vista Transformation Pack.” It changes all of the icons, the start menu, the task bar, the windows, and it even adds a cool side bar. After installing this, I realized there isn’t any reason to “upgrade” to Vista. The only reason I considered upgrading was to have that Vista “wow” effect, and now I have that. To be fair, there are a few minor glitches, in the Transformation Pack, and I’m not sure it looks exactly like the Aero interface. But I can live with that. And I can certainly live with not spending loads of money on Vista.

So, after the overwhelming response on my first blog, it’s time to write again. This time the subject is software. Just recently I “acquired” Microsoft Office 2007, and I had the chance to see what all the fuss was about. Apparently, Microsoft believes if it’s going to change one product (their OS) then why not change all of them. The most apparent change I noticed right off the bat, was that the menu bars were gone, replaced by tabs or “ribbons”. That means you have to know what tab to look in to find what you want. Unfortunately, for long time Office users, the new version will take some getting used to. Why? Every feature and command has been moved around. (I couldn’t even find Save and Open for Peat’s sake). Some might argue that the new “ribbon” feature saves them time, but because only one ribbon can be displayed at a time, and a lot of time is spent remembering what is in each ribbon, I highly doubt this.
The Ribbon:

Are there any positives you ask? Well, for one, it looks a whole lot better. The price is a bit expensive depending on what version you get. So, if you’re used to the old Office, then I wouldn’t bother switching just yet.

So, I know some of you will be thinking: Why would I want to read a blog about David Boehme? Well, to be truthfully honest…I don’t know. But one of these days I’ll think of a reason! And that reason will be so good that it will blow all of your minds. But until then, feel free to post me a comment. After all, that is what blogs are about aren’t they? So about this new site of mine…
The site has been totally redone. Now everything is in PHP. I’ll give you a minute so you can marvel at it…..Ok that’s enough. So you may be asking, exactly how is the site any different? Well, now the blog and photo gallery are totally integrated into the site. Every single page has been converted to PHP. (If you don’t know what PHP is, don’t feel bad…we can’t all be geeks). The side navigation bar will actually update with the most recent blog or photo gallery I have made. Pretty cool eh? Another note: Please, please, please use Firefox. The site really does look best with it. But for those of you still using Internet Explorer, I made sure it looked decent in that browser too.
